Mental health

Mental health refers to a person’s non-physical, psychological and emotional well-being. The World Health Organisation estimates that one in four people in the world will be affected by mental or neurological disorders during their life. Common mental health issues include depression, anxiety, eating disorders and obsessive compulsive disorder. The cause is not known but some contributing factors are thought to be genetic, hormonal and environmental. Organisations like the Mental Health organisation or the Charity Mind are dedicated to helping those affected by mental health and addressing its cause.
