Why does my energy-saving light bulb sporadically shine after it's been switched off?
Dodgy low-energy light bulbs, sounds a bit seasonal!
Asked by: Joe Holland, Norwich
I looked into this wondering if low-energy light bulbs somehow store charge and then release it sporadically after being turned off. But I found no evidence for that.
Or maybe they pick up power by induction from nearby electrical equipment. But short of a particle accelerator, I can't think of anything with enough energy to do that. I reckon it must just be dodgy wiring.
